An exhibition of paintings, prints, drawings and sculpture on the subject of the human condition, from the perspectives of two Bristol-based artists.
“Stuart Mitchell`s prints and paintings are concerned with ritual, altered states and the subconscious. He uses a range of traditional and digital media, which he often combines, resulting in imagery with a sense of alchemy and ambiguity.
Michael Hayter`s paintings, drawings and sculpture, although similarly derived from the unconscious, deal with grief and loss, power and vulnerability, through which he wishes to expose and investigate the dark underbelly of humanity.”
